The Marriage Equality Bill will be introduced in the Dail today, following Ireland’s historic yes vote in May’s referendum. The legislation will go through the Houses of the Oireachtas, clearing the path for the country’s first same-sex marriages.Under the new bill, marriages between gay couples that have taken place in other countries will be recognised here.Gráinne Healy, Chairwoman of Marriage Equality, is looking forward to lots of days out over the coming months:
