Members of the Catholic Church in England and Wales have issued a strong critique of the Church’s teaching on marriage and families.The document describes the Church as “out of touch, unbending”, and “unrealistic” while offering a “lack of support for same-sex partnerships and contraception”.The Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Nichols, said a key response is a renewed focus on personal relationship to Jesus following the example set by the Pope.Mazur/catholicnews.org.ukAhead of the synod on the family in Rome next month, a survey has shown disillusionment with the Catholic Church.

  3. The biggest problem is that no one speaks up or is informed of the extent of many injustices in the church. I believe the Catholic church is so dynamic and powerful with it’s sacredness that those who truly believe want to look the other way.
