Movement to fight isolation of gay Christians Launched
Nairobi, Kenya: A team of religious leaders in Kitengela have launched a movement to champion gay rights. United Coalition of Affirming Africans, Kenya Chapter president, Rev Michael Kimindu led the group of pastors who have vowed to fight for the rights of gays. “Some religious leaders have gone against God’s love by condemning gays,” Kimindu said. He said his group will champion for the sexual rights of Christians who have been misunderstood because of their different sexual orientation adding the gays should be viewed as normal people. “We will mobilise church leaders to accept the idea and condemn those who say homosexuals are outcasts,” he added. Pastor Joseph Tolton of the fellowship affirming ministries, USA said people should accept gays as they are since their sexual orientations are inborn.
